2024 Recap - My Favorite Photos

I want to take a moment to reflect on my creative journey this year. I feel so grateful for the opportunities that were presented and the projects I got to be on. From the starting off the year with working on a feature film, then working with companies like The Boiling Crab and Terry Black’s, to capturing the eclipse, to portraits, traveling, short films, and working with Fujifilm - this year was definitely my busiest. It’s the year I feel I grew the most in photography(in terms of people that I met and clients I had). Most of it was quite unexpected, but all was beneficial to grow my creative skills and make connections with some pretty amazing people. I’ve gathered ten photos I captured this year that I would consider my favorites. Some make more sense than others (one of them captured on my iPhone since I didn’t have my camera with me) but all left an impact on me or remind me of what I experienced. It was hard to narrow it down to only ten.

1. The Eclipse

2. My favorite BTS Portrait from ‘Angel’.

3. One of my favorite BTS photos from this year.

4. Working with The Boiling Crab in Austin.

5. Photographing Terry Black’s Soft Opening in Waco opening (for friends and family)

6. Getting to try out the Fujifilm GFX 100S II and being PA for their event in Austin.

6. Favorite Portrait of the year.

7. Wedding Photo for “AJ” and “Klaire” played by Justin Russo and Olivia Nash. Had to create a 90’s film photo for this one, and I feel like I nailed the colors just right.

9. The Group Photo from ‘Hickory’.

10. The Man in Central Park

I have no idea what’s in store for 2025 - but I’m excited to see what lies ahead. Thanks for checking out this post - I’m currently working on the next edition of ‘The Stacks’ which overall went really well. The feedback I received from that was much appreciated.

I also want to thank everyone that hired me on and trusted me to capture their BTS, events, etc. this past year. It has been so much fun and I cannot wait to continue working in the New Year.

Happy New Year everyone!
