It’s Been A Bit.

How are you doing? I hope you're all well.

It's been a while since my last journal entry. I haven't given too much thought to this part of my website, if I'm honest. There's been a lot I've been tackling, but I've also spent a lot of my free time unwinding, watching movies, and playing video games. For a while, with running my business and still working a part time job, I did not think I would have much time for video games. I found that time, naturally. Normally, I'd feel guilty, but I think I really needed something mind-numbing over these past few months.

Since the start of 2024, I have been fortunate to work a few photography jobs, actually doing what I want in life. I was the stills/behind the scenes photographer for an upcoming feature film, Angel. I got to work with two restaurants, (which, was unexpected, but welcomed) capturing soft openings for each location and documenting the first group to work at these new locations. I did some event work and even some light wedding photography. No, I was not the wedding photographer, but I did capture other stuff before and after the day of the wedding at the request of the bride, which was a lot of fun.

I’ve been so fortunate to have these opportunities and to hit the ground running with my business so far in 2024 - it has been an incredible start to the year and I could not be any more grateful. With that being said, I do wish to continue these "journal entries" and continue expressing myself through writing on here. Whether that be talking about new lenses/gear, experiences, or what happens to be on my mind. It sounds strange, almost like I am a broken record - I feel like I’ve had this conversation before, or I have made a post about this at some point. However, I think it's important to recognize these flaws and move forward, improving. Life gets crazy sometimes, but I'm grateful I have the opportunity to document it and write about it.

Next time, I have to share my thoughts on my new lens.
